Is there a bug in cups-browsed?

I installed excalibur on three different drives, and cups prints
from none of them. cups-browsed apparently can't find the
printer. I just installed Daedalus on a fourth drive I cannot
use as my working drive, but it prints just fine.

How would I know if a bug has been reported? A quick search
returned nothing.

My cups-browsed version is 1.28.17-6+deb13u1. Subsequent versions
had vulnerabilities ratger than my problem..

I'll downgrade to Daedalus if I have to but that can ae painful.

Manually constructing a /etc/cups/cups-browsed file seems an
alternative, but the directions are over my heasd.
