The boot seems to start properly. I get the GRUB menu I expect.
It flashing seems to be a load of the kernel and initram. The the
boot process halts when it cannot find the regulatory.db and
iwlwiwi firmware though I'm connected to Internet with Ethernet.

It was suggested the video card, which needs a proprietary is the
cause of the problem. So I will turn to a quite inexpensive card
that relies on a open driver such as nouveau.

Can you recommend such a cheap card>
