(1) You mean a hardware amplifier for each audio stream?

I have several pairs of "PC speakers" each of which can plug into an
audio socket on a FC or plug into a USB audio adapter. Similar
speakers are available in 2nd hand stores for a few dollars a pair.
Usually one of the pair has a volume knob.

For me, one pair of speakers is enough. For VoIP and video
conferencing, add a USB headset. I never use VoIP and video
conferencing simultaneously. For me two independent streams is
enough.

If you need big speakers for big sound, yes, that requires a big audio
amp. For most music listening one big amp is enough.

If you have big professional requirements, operate a music studio for
example, then go after the big software summarized by Andreas Messer
at 2026.02.10. Few people operate a music studio.

(2) Or you mean a software amplifier?

Yes, my suggestion was a software driver process for each stream. Two
or three little driver processes are simple dimple compared to the big
setup summarized by Andreas Messer.
