The GPU chip on my motherboard died, and so I inserted a Gigabyte video card.
The GRUB menu shows the netinst on key only if I replug the key.
The Grub menu is then
debian Samsung 1 TB SSD
UEFI: VendorC
UEFI: VensorC ... partition 2
I have always done an expert installs but instead now try a normal
install of daedalus on the 1 TB SSD
As preamble flashes by something about genirq flags mismatch;
flags mismatch
I do not load missing firmware but am nevertheless able to
configure the network manually. Wireless connection suceeds.
For partitioning I use guided for entire disk with all files in
one partition.
Current overview of partitions:
/dev/nvme0n1 I choose this as install target. It currently has
an ESP, a 1 GB and a swap partition
/dev/nvme1n1 is 2 TB disk with all partitions deleted,
SCSI2 has one FAT16 partition and is used for storage.
SCSI7 is the netinst key
SCSI4 is bootable disk with 12 partiions
I am told that partitions on /dev/nvme0n1 have changed and for
the 1 TB disk /dev/nve0m1t the ESP, ext4 and swap partitions will
be formatted.
Software is installed.
I choose sysvinit
GRUB bootloader is autaomatically installed
I try to boot the 1 TB disk and get:
/dev/nvme0n1p2: clean ...
INIT: version 3.06 booing
INIT: No inittab.d directory found
Using makefile-style concurrent boot in runlevel S
Starting hot-plug events dispatcher: udevd.
Synthesizing the initial hotplug events (subsystems)...done
