In principle, neither src:okular nor any packages in the KDE ecosystem are
forked in Devuan and we use Debian's packages directly without
recompilation. Therefore, this should be reproducible on a Debian trixie install
and should be reported to Debian's BTS for resolution.

A quick search revealed an old bug from 2017 with similar symptoms[1]. This was
attributed to kwidgetsaddons. I don't have direct experience of okular or even
KDE.

Are you able to reproduce in a Debian VM and then report to Debian?
