I got the official tarball from
http://www.palemoon.org/download.shtml
Click on the green "Download tarball" button. It's available in 64-bit
linux for GTK2 and GTK3 versions. Rather than /usr/bin or
/usr/local/bin, I prefer to download the tarball to $HOME/pm/ and
extract there. Launch it as...
$HOME/pm/palemoon/palemoon
One advantage of extracting as local user, is that when it checks for
and finds a new version, you can say "Yes" to the update and it'll
update in it's current location, i.e. your directory. Because you have
write permission to your own directory, it'll update without having to
invoke "su" or "sudo". And no waiting for a repo to update.
In ICEWM I launch various profiles like so...
prog WXSHORT pm150.png /home/waltdnes/pm/palemoon/palemoon -new-instance -p wxshort
prog YOUTUBE pm150.png /home/waltdnes/pm/palemoon/palemoon -new-instance -p youtube
