Venezuela announced[1] few months ago the discovery of a "large"
reserve of Coltan, some weeks after, this -rare- mineral was said to
be found in considerable amounts also in Colombia (claims by the press
of the country of la realidad fantastica = no figures offered).
Heading down the feeds of conspiration this set up seems to justify,
to some degree, the mobilization of Venezuelan troops to the
convoluted border with Colombia. Though, at the same time, it could
well mean a second stunt (the first one was dumping with coltan bought
in the "D" Rep. of Congo but announced an sold as exploited in Brazil)
by Halliburtons and the like. Strategies to engage into lowering down
Congolese prices so to be able to weaken and then buy their
reserves... WFK..
Anyhow, the regions where the mineral was said to be found according
to a local journalist who is delivering on national colombian TV a 2
parts special report tracing parallels between the harsh life of
people in Rep. of Congo and the Colombians from Guainia, VIchada and
Guaviare regions. Half of the extension border shared with Venezuela.
So, as part of a thread we had earlier this year, I leave here some
references and open eyes to the development of such unfortunate
"findings".
