I think that depends on who's "we". Things are needed anyway, but things
can be made from other things. Maybe a more precise question would be
"shouldn't everybody start remaking things?".

Don't buy it, grow it. Make it. Reassmble it. Repurpose it.

BTW, did bricopeople read that those articles on user-generated devices?
