[MuSE] device busy problem

I hope someone can help with the following problem: I have 1
soundcard in a FreeBSD 6.3 box for 2 purposes at once: First, a
recorder needs to record airchecks, then Muse needs to stream the
sound to an icecast server.

To record airchecks I use a setup consisting of dsprec, mp3cat and
scripts which is started at system startup. When I then start Muse
and click the microphone icon, it says "error opening input sound
device: host error". Obviously this is because the line in is already
being used by the mp3 recorder.

What can be done about it? I can't install another sound card without
exchanging the whole server machine with it (no slots left), and
still need to run these both services on one machine.
