hi all
it is more than sad.
this computers goes to the schools, but many of many of many of many
of schools doesn't know anything about computers (and even less about
free software).
I already visit more than hundred schools that computers were closed
as tools for political rivalities, and many of labs with more than ten
computers where the government sent the machines but did not sent the
passwordfs :P
even worse, the technical assistence for software & hardware is
different from province to province, and many of the technicians, when
decide to leave their office and visit one school, they know very
little about free software (i even saw some cases of this technical
guys reinstalling pirate copies of windows in the labs)
for two years know we've been discussing on many governmental
instances on states of rio grande do norte, ceara, paraiba, alagoas
and bahia about the necessities of this support for all those
computers labs...
but i don't know why it is so common here in brazil projects made by
part, and many times with big projects that goes bad for the terrible
assistance on it (no matter if computers, roads, parks or whatever.
god save corruptiuon and incompetence.
