dear bricos

some new texts are out on www.thenextlayer.org to which I would like to
draw your attention. For the forthcoming taxi-to-praxi experimental
research day at Goldsmiths arts and computation department this coming
monday (sorry folks we are fully booked, but you can participate online
by reading and posting;-) we got a collection of shorter texts and
abstracts as well as three longer pieces fo far.

It starts with a text collectively written between Adnan Hadzi, Lindsay
Brown and me which is about Thenextlayer website as a forum to document
research http://www.thenextlayer.org/node/382

Then there is a long overdue write-up about the person and work of
jaromil: Babylon by Bus - Jaromil the lyrical programmer activist
http://www.thenextlayer.org/node/421

which is a summary based on a long biographical interview I did with him
in 2006. If my fingers dont break from editing the long version of the
interview will follow soon.

and last not least there is an invited guest contribution by John Barker
about C.W. Mills concept of Intellectual Craftsmanship
http://www.thenextlayer.org/node/427

plus there are shorter texts by a number of authers, including very
useful things such as Lisa Haskel about running Drupal from Subversion.

lots of love
