Obrigado pelas sempre calorosas boas-vindas, fff
[thanks for your (always so warm) welcome]

ok, presentation time:

paulo, portuguese, remembers his zxspectrum48k fondly, used photoshop since 2.5.1 and macs since the SE - (later upgraded to SE/30!), was forced to change to pcs, grew up, studied design in lisbon, went to brasil where got involved with a lot of the free software movement people (and switched to linux), always shows up at places uninvited and without warning...

likes old machines and making them work.

in mailing lists he reads a lot more than writes. but in person he can talk for hours [and i mean hours!].

in the last years/months has discovered a profound affection for the analogic manipulation of digital content, as low-tech as his always meagre finances allow.

working at the moment as a web designer, he's been trying to convince a lot of people about the importance of standards and open and accessible content.

meanwhile he got involved with a museum in East-Timor and is going there to work for some months. (he's in Lisbon, Portugal)

doesn't talk about himself in the third person :-)

but as i had started i couldn't stop...

i got to this mailing list by kyd's (whom i got to know thanks to efe) advice, because she said lots of nice people talked about lots of nice things around here!

i'll stop the egotrip now. time to read.

thanks again for your time ;-)

p.

Just wanted to welcome p, a portuguese guy who always
showed up in MetaReciclagem meetings and then disappeared
for half a year again.

Fala, portuga! Te apresenta aí...
