I am using MuSE to relay a stream from my music server (Slimserver -
www.slimdevices.com) to an Icecast2 server. I play the stream in a
Channel by entering the URL.
Normally, the stream has the URL
http://server-ip:9000/stream.mp3 and
this works fine. However, I wish to password-protect the Slimserver.
Normally, if you do this, you would access the stream with a string like
this:
http://username:password@server-ip:9000/stream.mp3.
However, MuSE does not accept this format.
What URL format can I use to pass the user name and password to MuSE to
allow it to receive the stream when the server is password/username
protected?
