sounds like a network problem, you can have more informations about
what's happening by running muse with commandline -D3
or using 'strace muse' in case you have strace

sounds like a restriction introduced in gcc 4, it might be enough to
remove the 'Linklist::' prefixing the selected member in the class
declaration at line 47 of linklist.h
